The Wall Street Journal ran an interesting article today on the rewards of traveling with kids. Bruce Kirkby, a Canadian author and adventurous traveler described his trip from Canada across the Pacific on a container ship and on into Asia and the Indian subcontinent, all with 3 and 7 year old boys in tow.
Clearly this guy and his wife are travel pros, but if this family can trek over the Himalayas by foot, surely we can manage traveling with three young kids in much less adverse conditions 🙂
The Kirkby’s journey was made into a series called “Big Crazy Family Adventure” and it will air on the Travel Channel starting in June. We’ll be watching for inspiration 🙂
